02 · Practice

How we work.

The practice ships through five areas. Each one ends with something running. We take a small number of engagements each quarter.

01

Advisory.

Strategy for the C-suite and operators. Often on retainer. Architecture reviews, AI cost and model selection, governance frameworks, and the hard conversations about which AI work is worth doing and which is not.

Most useful when: you have budget and a roadmap forming, and you need a second opinion that has built things, not just written about them.

02

Automation.

Workflow and voice-first systems where people were doing robot work. Voice receptionists, AI operations agents, multi-agent back-office systems. The largest body of the practice.

Most useful when: a part of your business runs on a human doing rote work, and the human's time would be worth more spent elsewhere.

03

Product.

From napkin to shipping. Design, build, measure. Sometimes the product belongs to a client; sometimes it grows into a product the lab carries forward.

Most useful when: you have a product idea and need a partner who can take it from concept to a working application without a six-month design phase.

04

AI research.

A small lab running across seven active investigations: local inference, fine-tuning, security, memory systems, agent harness, robotics, and agentic voice. The practice pulls from these every engagement.

Most useful when: your problem sits at the edge of what off-the-shelf tools can solve and you need someone who is already working at that edge.

05

Internal tools.

For teams that outgrew the spreadsheet but not the headcount. Operations dashboards, internal agents, CRM-adjacent automation. Quiet software that makes a small team feel larger.

Most useful when: your team is doing real work in a spreadsheet and the spreadsheet has become a liability.

06 · How an engagement runs

The shape of the work.

01

A thirty-minute call.

We tell you in plain English whether the work is a fit. If it isn't, we say so.

02

A short written scope.

Outcome, approach, what we expect from you, what you can expect from us.

03

Build.

Most engagements run in weeks, not quarters. We share progress in writing as we go.

04

Hand-off.

Code, documentation, runbook. You can operate the system after we leave.

05

Optional retainer.

Some engagements graduate into a small monthly relationship. Most do not, by design.

07 · Get in touch

Bring a hard problem. Leave with a system.

The first conversation is a thirty-minute call. We tell you in plain English whether AI will help your business — or whether you're being sold a fantasy.
